The Thought Garden

Tongo Ni is now The Thought Garden

A change in my life has removed me from formal Soto Zen practice, and opened many new possibilities.

The overwhelming chaos of the last decades has sent me away from most things I used to feel and believe.

I want simplicity. That’s not going to happen. Chaos churns everything into a mess. But we can at least make spaces where simple actions give us relief. Small things. Find your joys where they are.

The messes we made will take a long time to clean up. Other messes will arrive.

Don’t worry about every mess. Face what is in front of you. Live in the place where you stand.

Focus on relief.

I live in a garden that grows wild. I create in a chaotic way. I sing in a simple way. I look at each moment.

It’s the best way I can live.

And I feel it is the best way I can communicate. In small ways. In small spaces.

This is The Thought Garden.

Welcome.
